Over Hills and Seas

Tim Andrews

29 September–28 October

Thu - Sat 12.00–18.00-Sun 12.00 - 17.00

From 2007 to 2016, Tim Andrews (who was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2005) was photographed by 425 photographers, some student and some amateur but mostly professional including Vanessa Winship, Simon Roberts, Jillian Edelstein, Steve Bloom and Mike McCartney. The project was called "Over the Hill" and Tim decided to bring it to an end in 2016. As he said, "I felt that l wanted it to be complete, to put it into a box, tie it with ribbon and place it on a shelf so that, every so often l could take it down and look inside and marvel at all the great times l had with these wonderful photographers." Well, Tim is taking down the box for BPF18 and presenting another exhibition of photographs both from "Over the Hill" and after. The theme of this exhibition is Landscape. Tim contacted a number of photographers who specialised in Landscape and Seascape photography and the purpose of this show is to examine how these people changed their approach in order to photograph a person, Tim.
