11:00 Curator Guided Tour of BPF18

Meeting at Phoenix Brighton, this tour lead by emerging curator Kitty Bew, will take you along the trail of exhibitions with themes relating to BREXIT and European identity.

13:00 Routes OR Roots? workshop

Routes OR Roots? invites participants to take part in a two-hour long workshop delivered by Revolv Collective. The activities will encompass notions of belonging and the self, participants should contribute to the workshop with personal objects, possessions and stories in order to form a narrative of personal and collective diaspora. The workshop is open to people from any age and background to join

To take part you are required to bring a collection of photographs, objects and stories, which remind you of home. Reserve a free ticket.


17:00 The BPF18 Closing Awards + Celebrations.

Join us from 5pm at Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts for all-star panel discussion on how or if #PhotographyChangesEverything, a European Festival showcase, The Danny Wilson Memorial Awards Ceremony and closing party with photo DJ's & dancing! A selection of BPF18 artists discuss current photographic practice with examples of the multiple ways they work to take photography off the wall and into the gallery space. Chaired by Rebecca Drew, Brighton Photo Fringe (Chair).

Mentored by Jamila Prowse a group of young people have developed this evolving project about how young people today navigate the complexities of self-representation. Come and see their final exhibition and meet some of the artists involved and celebrate the closing of BPF18.
