Danny Wilson Memorial Award

The Danny Wilson Memorial Award was established to commemorate the life and work of the late Director of Brighton Photo Fringe who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in 2008.

Once again this year there are three winning categories.

People’s Choice

Selected by the visiting public. Tweet your vote to @PhotoFringe #DWMA18 or put your vote into a box at Phoenix Brighton.

Prize includes: portfolio reviews with a BPF Board member; page on BPF website and a free quarter page ad for the Brighton Photo Fringe 2020.

Professionals’ Choice

The best emerging photographer exhibiting as part of the Photo Fringe 2018 will be selected by a panel of experts.

Prize includes: £500 in cash, £500 print credit and mentoring offered by our headline sponsor Metro Imaging Ltd; page on BPF website; online Photoworks Showcase and mentoring sessions with a BPF Board member, and an artist’s talk event during 2019.

Trainee Curators’ Choice

Prize includes: portfolio reviews with Trainee Curators and a BPF Board member; page on BPF website and a free quarter page ad for the Brighton Photo Fringe 2020.

The winning photographers will be announced at our closing award ceremony on 27 October at our International Festival Showcase, ACCA, University of Sussex.
